I’m horrified that anyone would be subjected to this type of ultrasound for any reason other than it being absolutely medically necessary.  Having had one myself, I can tell you they are beyond uncomfortable and humiliating - even in strictly medical related circumstances.  And I can’t imagine how horrifying it would be to be forced to have one just to placate right-wing assholes by humiliating (and essentially sexually assaulting) a person who has made the decision to terminate a pregnancy.  Rape is not about penises.  It is about the forcible entry of any object into a person’s orifice.  When we allow our government to begin sexually assaulting people in an effort to shame them into “falling in line” with ideology that doesn’t match their own, we have truly fallen into an unfathomable pit.
