Anonymous asked: serious non-hostile question. why do you and other cis people think you can say who is and isn't a trans ally?
What is wrong with pointing out that other people are, in fact, allies? I am an ally and I am perfectly capable of recognizing other allies. If I know that someone has a heart for equality, justice, and inclusion, and they make every effort they can to be informed and a safe space for their trans* friends to turn for support, then they are an ally.
Why on earth do you take issue with any of this?

That sounds like a pretty hostile question to me. In addition to this, how the hell do you quantify being an ally with anything but intent? Do you get a name tag and badge if you defend your trans friends from injustice enough or something?
