Anonymous asked: from what i can see you are a good ally catsnotcancer not so much. that may be why you are still getting sh*t. they cant anonymously insult her so they come to you. that's pretty ridiculous but hey im anon here too
I know Nikki personally and she is a wonderful ally to the queer community. But she does come from a different perspective. She is (technically) of a different generation—and so are her trans* loved ones. Her perspectives are very in line with those of her trans* friends and colleagues. I do not agree with everything she says, but I do understand where she (and others) are coming from. Nikki is incredibly loving and fiercely loyal. She is also stubborn and opinionated, which I love. And her friends love it, too.
Nikki makes every effort to use inclusive language on her blog. She takes issues she is passionate about (like breast cancer and reproductive health) and frames them in ways that are accessible and relatable for everyone. She does great advocacy work, and I am proud of the efforts she makes to be understanding and accepting. She also doesn’t put up with shit from anyone, regardless of their gender identity, race, religion, nationality, age, etc. She is a fierce little ball of fire and I love that about her. It makes her controversial, but it is also makes her an amazing ally—because she will always stand up for equality, inclusion, and respect.
